NTec Certificate in Hospitality (Operations Supervision) Level 4
Hospitality courses are delivered by our sister school National Technology Institute
This qualification provides students with the competence, knowledge, and skills to work as supervisors in commercial hospitality.
The National Certificate in Hospitality (Operations Supervision) Level 4 offered by National Technology Institute is on the New Zealand Department of Labour’s Immediate Skills Shortage List. (Please check the Immigration New Zealand website (www.immigration.govt.nz) for details).
Duration
Six months (3 intakes per year).
Course Content
The course is made up of New Zealand Qualifications Authority Unit Standards, delivering theoretical knowledge and developing hands-on skills. The qualification will be awarded to people who have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Business and management
- People development and training
- Interpersonal communication
- Hospitality operations skills
- Food and beverage service
- Sale of liquor, Host Responsibility and Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)
The course is delivered by industry qualified teaching staff through lectures, tutorials, and practical assignments.
Pathways
The course provides students with pathways to various higher level qualifications at Level 5.
Entry Requirements
- 18 years of age or older (international students).
- Completion of New Zealand Year 12 secondary schooling, or international equivalent.
- International students require IELTS level 5.5 (Academic).
