Overview
The Diploma of Business Management provides competency-based training and personal development for the workplace. The programme equips students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to commence and progress through a management career. The programme focuses on the skills needed by managers. It gives students the ability to understand their organisation’s business needs and to develop strategies and action plans to meet those needs.Duration

Course Content
The course is made up of Australian Standards, delivering theoretical knowledge and developing hands-on skills in the following areas:
- Team and personal development
- Analysis and presentation of research information
- Marketing and communications
- Budgeting
- Financial planning
- Managing people
- Planning and reviewing administration systems
- Industry based project
The course is delivered by experienced qualified teaching staff through lectures, tutorials, and practical assignments.
Pathway
The programme provides a pathway to the Diploma in Business Management (Advanced) Level 6.Entry Requirements
- Minimum 17 years of age (international students).
- International students require IELTS 5.5 (Academic) or the equivalent level of English.
- Certificate in Business level 3 or 4 or completion of NZ year 12 secondary schooling or international equivalent; and/or appropriate related work experience. (Please see Entry Requirements for more details).

On successful completion of the qualification the student is prepared for junior management roles in various industry sectors.
